I am hopeful JXD at least responds to the mountain of inquiries that we've all made for their source code. Then this thing would be really fixable and we would see a whole lot more development on it. I haven't tried any of the fixes they've implemented, but they all look pretty promising, and feedback has been mostly positive so far.
The hardware is pretty good, I can't complain -- the only things on my wishlist are software-related which can be much easier to fix. I have hope yet that the S7300 will be a great device!

Here is the newest version as promised: alpine.nodeworks.org/NCCE01b_googleplay.zipFrom the developer: News:- Now it's fully deodexed, first boot will be a bit longer. Next boots will be regular.- Apks in the bundle are zipaligned, this should improve RAM usage.- Emulators fix (we need tests and feedback by the community)- Google Play fix (thanks skelton, we need tests and feedback by the community)- External SD swapped with internal. (Work in progress: extract SD only when JXD S7300 is switched off, switch on only with SD inserted).- New (lighter) boot animation

Do you flash the zip or does this have the 4 files inside like the stock update? I haven't downloaded the file yet to take a peek. Also I have to give all the developers bow for working on this project... Especially Skelton for making time in his busy schedule to do what he said he couldn't. And thank you revnja for the server space, it's much appreciated

This has the 4 files inside like stock update. All you've to do is copy in sd root and boot in recovery (Power + VolUp)

I noticed you left out all the stock emulators... I'm gonna dig around the stock firmware for the original configuration files because I didn't mind the ones I used. I'm excited to actually be able to use a snes emu

I'm thinking of repacking the custom rom or making a flash able zip with other useful apps and emulators once I test some snes emus. I'll also include titanium backup, lucky patcher, and romtoolbox pro. Any other suggestions

NCCE V 1.0 by Vektor and Damedus: Quote "News: - All fixes from .3b[Graphic libs were a bit updated from a more up to date device] - Apks in the bundle are zipaligned. - SD card normal mode or swap mode. - New (much better looking) boot animation - Audio fix [Thanks Skelton] Changes: - Speed improvement and response times. - Updated:Aroma Installer: Innovative Gui that lets you choose extras(Like emulators,JXD center, Ect) that you want installed in your device, every install is optional and you can choose what apps you want to instal by simply selecting them and pressing next . No forced apps on anyone choose what you want! Clean Rom?Rom with emus? Alternative Markets, Launchers? Common social apps? all here without even having to go in the playstore! - Circle Battery mod - Screen is fixed to 60hz. - Option to keep stock launcher with emulators(so games works with that like stock)[This was a request from some Chinese friends that like the stock emus cause its less hassle for them and like the tap gamex widget] - Option of default system launcher to be Apex and a few others, after all NCCE is about customization. - CPU speed option and swap options at install. boards.dingoonity.org/jxd-devices/jxd-s7300-fixes-firmware-roms-thread/

Just tested a bunch of emulators on RetroArch...DAMN THEY WORK AWESOME! Games for all systems run SILKY SMOOTH! I've played a bunch of games across 5-6 RetroArch emulators(PSX, SNES, GBA, NES, and Genesis) with the new firmware and I confess, I've fallen in love with the s7300 all over again. The 60Hz was entirely the problem with the emulators and it's like they've just been shot in the arm with adrenaline for how fast and smooth they play now. RetroArch is now my go to gaming station because it just works so beautifully!

Amazing, thanks again vector/damedus/ skelton and anyone else whom had an input, cant wait to try it out, my plan of attack for tonight was to play around with remote accessing other android devices from the s7300 (my phone etc) and trying to streem media from these devises to try and save space on the s7300 for more games. I will be testing this out after the firmware update.
