Hello all as i am sure there are many of you out there as myself that have eagerly ordered an JXDS7300, after researching the web for info on these bad boys there is very limited info and no support what so ever out there. as is typical with the jxd company the many grumble is the support sucks. and from looking through the other jxd consoles there isn’t a specific place on the web for help and support, there are places on other forums for general discussions but nothing specific. This is why i have created a forum dedicated to community support for the JXDS7300 and sub forums for support on other JXD devices, the aim is to get all the info scattered across the web into one simple and easy to find place. Owners of these JXD devices can sign up and find out pointers and tips from other owners which might be able to aid issues. I will be keeping the website maintained with the latest news and tweaks for the devise. As it currently stands the forum is located here However i have just purchased the domain name www.JXD7300.com ( yes i missed the s but the name is purchased now) this name change is due to take place over the next 48 hours This is my first website so it might change in layout over the next few days whilst i iron out any teething issues and try to make it as user friendly as possible. its currently is lacking in content because i have been focusing on setting up the layout. i plan to gather all the information and points of interest i can from the web over the next 24 hours and tweek the site to make it friendlier on the eye. I have just taken on a 2nd administrator who has years of web development experience who is going to start work on the site tomorrow. Obviously the support section will be pretty minimal for a while before users start to receive there units and can start posting issues and solutions found. Thank you for visiting please be patient with me and i will try to optimise the site to be as user friendly as possible. also feel free to leave constructive criticism, advise and anything you would like to see added to the forum and i will do my best to accommodate everyone suggestions. Peace folks

Hi all a quick update, www.jxd7300.com is now live. I have just performed a quick board upgrade so the text colours look odd at the minute but i look to amend this once i get home from work. There should be some new features available now for members as well. added content due later/early hours of the morning also

Hi ! I've been keeping my eye on this forum since its birth(when it had green text ) and i'm a web developer. I give you a few tips. #wrapper width is set to 1280px, but most people still have that as max width of screen(and some even have smaller resolution), so i think you should use some @media querys and if make some rules that if max screen width is 1280 then #wrapper width:1024 and when max screen width 1024 then #wrapper width should be 960 or even less. The text will resize(wrap) itself nicely and overall look is cleaner. Then you should change the heading of this forum to something less fiery(red-yellow),green gangster text and a white unit on black background with a f...ing flash in top-center. Why is there a flash? Are there unicorns or cyborgs coming through the heavenly portal of jxd 7300??? The header picture should be a web optimized high resolution picture of white 7300 with a game running on the screen eveyone of the community can relate to. Some epic title(or maybe even different each time you refresh the page). You can add text on the screen there with a span html element(maybe make the background of text black and some nice font color) Those are my first suggestions to make this little "ProBoards" forum into a full blown community, tho I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO USE phpBB, not ProBoards. I actually wrote a longer text with more suggestiong but accidentally pressed refresh button. I just want to help, I come in peace. Dsko

I agree, the top banner hurts a little. I made a few banners you can use if you like. Sorry it's so simple, but I don't have much time today. I am willing to put more time into another banner if you want. I feel this appeals to retro and android games (space invaders and nova 3) If you want to use them, please download them and add them to your site. Don't just src these images as they are just added to image shack. png @ 361k jpg @ 147k

Ok with the recent constructive criticism that the old banner Was a little straining on the eyes I have changed the banner to BLOBS banner in the above post. Is the general consensus that this is the preferred image? and if anyone else would like to contribute an effort feel free to show us what you came up with. Also with the latest banner change, i think the theme of the blue and marble don’t quite look right any more, do you think this should be changed? and if so how would you you like to see it changed, I was thinking of a black background to match the banner, but not sure if this will make the boards a nightmare to read. I might trial it for a while and see what the feed back is.

I like the new image much better. I also wanted to thank you for putting a site together dedicated to the S7300. I've also scoured the net, downloaded all the firmwares and watched the Youtube vids. I'm READY! -just got the notice that mine shipped from Willgoo so now I'm settling in for a couple/few weeks while it makes the journey here.

I also think BLOB's new banner is nicer. I know he done a quick job on that one, as he said, and one thing I would prefer is less stroke outlines, or thinner ones even. I was thinking could use a font more similar to the one JXD use. Not sure what their font is exactly, but this one is close[ish?] An open font named Orbitron, it's the closest one I had to it on my system anyway

Nice one fzero, i like blobs banner also but i was hoping to make the site brighter rather than darker as i find it easier to read off, i think if i match the rest of the forum to the banner it could get/did get a little dark and hard to easily view the text. I see you have yours is a screen shot of your board so i guess you’ve customised it (which is one of the features of the boards for those that think something needs changing, you can customise your own themes). I was wondering if you would like to make it publicly available and i will set it to the default theme. Or if you upload the banner i can set it.

A black theme isn't that bad. I'll give you an example xbox.ee/viewforum.php?f=25Too bad you have to be logged in to actually see posts(didn't think about that earlier, sorry)

True when done correctly they do look fine, but with my limited knowledge and trial and error approach they looked hard to read, when i changes to a black theme last night, alot of the threads and boards started merging together and it was hard to differentiate which thread was which for some reason the boarders vanished and everything became a great big jumbe of threads, so i changed back to the lighter option

Well, I hadn't actually configured my theme here tbh, the 'marble effect' background shown in my screenshot is what was the default for me. I see now you have made the background 'grey/black stripes', which look a lot nicer I think, and suit the banner nicely. It's looking good, not too dark I don't think, so long as the posts panels are light [as they are at moment] I think the dark backgrounds work fine. The banner I done was just a quick edit over the top of BLOB's one, although I lightened it, was mainly showing that font in use. I still think it's a cleaner looking font personally. and messing around a bit with the invader icons BLOB used

just added some media querys in css The site should be also fine for lower resolutions than 1280. /************************************************************************** * Media Querys * **************************************************************************/
@media screen and (max-width: 1280px) { #wrapper{ width:1080px; } #banner{ background-size:1080px; height:215px; } }
@media screen and (max-width: 1080px) { #wrapper{ width:960px; } #banner{ background-size:960px; height:200px; } }
Going to sleep. Adding more tomorrow.

<abbr>Wow, the site is way more welcoming! I too was worried that a dark background would be too much but it feels good here. However, if you are going to keep the theme dark, you should probably change the color of the links that are on that background to something light and bold. </abbr><abbr> If a light theme is preferred, here is the S7300B image I made to use in the banner. Feel free to use it in another high-res banner. It has a transparent background... I'm busy working on the button kernel module for the S7300B If you want, I can make a white high-res unit for the banner I like fzero's banner a lot also. I like the font. Lol pretty sure I just used Arial or something similar in my haste xD </abbr>

I done a few more, I had my editor open and fancied messing around creating stuff Used your S7300 graphic too. I also definitely agree that the links and headings text currently Black on Blue, should be lighter, probably White, for better readability.
