Hi guys, Thought i'd share my main gaming setup to you guys. This is an arcade machine that i gutted and rewired to a PC. Think it is a Namco Tekken 5 machine copy. Runs windows 7 with hyperspin-fe as the front end to glue together all of my emulators. Currently runs - Arcade via MAME
- Atari Lynx
- Neo Geo Pocket
- Nintendo Entertainment System
- Nintendo Gameboy Advance
- Nintendo Gamecube
- Nintendo Wii
- Sega Master System
- Sega Genesis/Megadrive
- Sega Dreamcast
- Sega Model 2
- Sega Model 3
- Sega Naomi
- Sega Saturn
- Sony Playstation
- Sony Playstation 2
- Sony Playstation Portable
- Super Nintendo
- Taito Type X
- PC Engine
Apart from the joysticks (connected via a I-PAC), i also have nintendo, super nintendo, sega genesis/megadrive and sony playstation joypads connected via usb to make it as authentic as possible.

I have to say.... That is bad ass! Makes me want to put one together. So you used retro controllers too? Nothing like the feel of an original game controller

That is absolutely beautiful. I love that you can sit at it too. I'd be there for a very long time. Excellent work!

Veeeeery nice mate You mention you've got USB versions of console control pads, like the NES, SNES, etc. ...I suspect you have those respective emus 'only' using those pads, or do you somehow have those emus able to use the pads or the arcade joystick [I-PAC]? ...I ask because far as I know, Hyperspin will only allow for one configuration. If you've a way around that I'd be interested in knowing more. Also, any chance of some close up shots? Wondering what those yellow panels are on the control panel back - looks like where you have your control pads wedged. Also the metal round things ... speakers or ashtrays? Like it a lot though, agree the sit-down option is a nice change to most setups you see

Thanks for the comments guys. The joypads work on their respective emulators. Certain emulators allow for multiple maps at the same time. For example pcsx2 allows you to utilise joypad and joystick at the same time. This works out nicely for games such as tekken 4/5.
Hyperspin will allow you to utilise keyboard and 1 joypad per play for menu navigation. I have set this up so that my joysticks (keyboard) and snes joypads (ones I use the most) work on hyperspin.
For emulators where I can't dual map I have made two versions of the wheel and have two versions of the emulator (eg dreamcast).
Can upload some additional photos tonight when I get back from work.

That whole room is really a thing of beauty, think i would never get anything done and have so many sick days off work if i had that set up at home.

That whole room is really a thing of beauty, think i would never get anything done and have so many sick days off work if i had that set up at home. You should see the rest of my house. I actually don't spend that much time in my study. Rest of the house has. - 4 zones of audio (including outdoors)
- 2 zones of video
- full automated lighting, AV, security, keyless entry doors
- IP camera to view my dogs when i'm not at home
- Siri control over everything in my house.
- XBMC media center in the living room with JBL sub, infinity beta-40 flood standing, C250 center and CS80R surround's.
- WOL tied into my PC's when i disarm my security system:)
True geeks house. Heres a close up pic of the control panel i took this morning. Laid out all of the joypads so you can get a feel of what i'm trying to achieve.

Your house sounds so sick, would love a set up like that it sounds insane.

HA! The fact you can refer to sections of your house as 'zones' is jokes, I imagine it to be a bit like the Starship Enterprise I'm liking those little buttons on the panel there, Save/Load State, Speed Up, don't often see those buttons added do you [not that I've noticed anyway] So... where'd you live then, when we all coming round yours to play
