Currently Testing and tested Emulators Overview

Slowly Working my way through the emulators, The s7300 is not going to be my main Emulator device, Not becasue its not good enough for the job it is more than capable. But because my main emulator console has years of game saves on it and i would like to continue ticking off completed games with the saves on it. My s7300 is going to be predominantly Android focused. With the exception of N64 and arcade roms and games.
Below is a brief overview on which emus worked or failed too work, and emus requiring more of a review will recieve there own specific thread. This lists not Complete and will be added too, listed emus with no description are in the process/waiting to be tested.

Dsoid: fails to find my roms folder

DSdroid: Ran New super mario bros at 35 fps and with frames skip 2 set and no sound was surprisingly playable but not near full speed

gbc.emu: Ran Flawlessly

gbcoid: Ran Flawlessly

gensoid: Quits out when loading rom

mame4droid:

md.emu: Ran Flawlessly with everything I tested

nesoid: Crash and exits very frequently

n64droid:

n64oid: Runs a large number of games brilliantly

NDS4Droid: Ran New super mario bros at 25 fps and was considerably slower than Dsdroid

neo.emu:

ngp.emu: Ran everything flawlessly

pce.emu:

ppsspp: runs at the same rate as other android devises, was interested to see if the s7300 had any different results

snesoid: runs perfect couple of games require a frame skip (very few) and star fox had random crashes this is the only game ive had an issue with. ( to get this working in advanced options select use “C” core) I tested out what are gennerally classed as the top 10 games, all the marios, star fox, donkey kongs, street fighter etc.

SuperGNES: Runs relatively well with everything I test, except again star fox suffers from not running quite at full fps but is playable. And quite allot of games I did test dropped frames quite regurally. So its not as compatable with all roms as Snesoid

As these are being tested for use on a device with physical buttons, is there any way to denote which ones have the option to turn off the visible overlay of virtual buttons?

Hey dave, yep i can add that in to the info for you, i have a day off tomorrow which i plan to use to finish the emu database off, i will add this in there and i will include which emus allow you to create short cuts to individual roms on the home screen.

MDEMU, I'm having some difficulty with.

I was using the Genesis Plus GX that is within the Retroarch emu.
Playing Hellfire game was a bit laggy, sound was scratchy too.

So installed the MDEMU emu which runs flawless on my other device.
It was better, played Hellfire well, but, only with the on-screen controls showing.
As soon as I turned off the on-screen controls I wasn't able to use the physical controls of the S7300 any more.

Strange... Not sure why it would make any odds once the controls had been mapped to the areas on screen.


Anyone else used this emu and had same thing?
Ideally I want to turn the on-screen controls off, they just distract

I got problem with dsdroid emulator on my jxd s7300. Then dsdroid apk says that rom loaded i can hear games music, but there is no video, only black screen. Same problem with other ds emulators, like nds4droid. Any ideas how to fix it?

Fzero, with MDEMU, the best thing to do would be to set up the on screen controls as you would with the button mapper or alternate button mapper, then open up the MDEMU settings and select options, then input, then select the on-screen config, and change the Blend amount to 0%. This will leave the buttons on screen however they are completely transparent so are not visable.

Has anyone had any luck with PSP emulation. I downloaded PPSSPP from the playstor but can't seem to load up any iso's.

Guys, I have same problem as Johny mentioned. I am trying to play ds games with nds4droid, but where is no video, only black screen and sound

Hi! I have a problem with the GBA emulator. I play Pokemon on it, and before I got the game I have playes it on Nintendo 3DS with the card DSTWO until it is broken. And I realize that Pokémon on JXD S7300 is played a little slower than it was on DSTWO. Is that okay?
