Hi,
I am new to this forum so please forgive me if this thread/post/question is in the wrong section.
I recently purchased a JXD S7300 and all seems well other than the fact sometimes the power key-tap gesture doesn't seem to respond when I try to bring it out of sleep-mode, making me have to hold the power key in and turn it off altogether...quite tiresome if I took a break from a game only to lose my progress.
Is this a common problem?

I've never had this problem. It always responds but sometimes it does take a second or two after one tap. Have you installed the custom firmware?

It came ready installed with NCCE_v1.1_googleplay with a copy on file to re-install if preferred to omit or include various options (user preferences). It refuses to come out of sleep mode a few times a day depending on use (or lack of it). Could it be something to do with not exiting to the home screen before locking the screen?, could it be the wifi?, I have noticed the wifi works perfectly with home broadband and also using my iPhone as a modem no issues whatsoever yet when it comes back out of sleep mode it has to search...and I have to close and open the 'personal hotspot' on my phone to sorta make the JXD find it again... I didn't want to start messing with the firmware as although I am savvy enough where emulators and roms are concerned I didn't feel comfortable tampering with it and potentially manufacturing my own 'brick'...(knowing my luck!) All has been fixed, I misread the info that came with it, the firmware had NOT been already flashed but was actually loaded as a file so I could flash it myself...
A very helpful guy 'Rashid' at nuvola-tech ebay store called me after I sent an email and walked me through the setup over the phone.
Now I have a much more pleasing experience when using the device, no freezing after sleep-mode, no 'pine' wallpaper (without the annoying hair in the middle as if under the screen protector! lol)
Apparently JXD are supposed to be bringing a 5" version with the same specs...

lol I was about to say, they don't usually load up the custom firmware first because there are custom options to chose before flashing! Ye I had a look at the s5600 the high spec one is quad-core which I wish the s7300 was!
