hey guys, i just received my 7300 and when i power it on all i get is a white screen.. i've tried multiple on/off cycles and the reset button but nothing seems to get it passed the blank, unresponsive, white screen.
if you have any ideas of what i can try please let me know.
thanks in advance!

Hey there decoy, i'm afraid i have no experience with JXD handhelds myself, i'll get in touch with Phelsumania for you and see if he has heard anything about this problem, just a thought though, maybe the preloader for the thing isn't working correctly have you left it running for a while after powering it on to see if anything does load up after a few minutes? again i have no experience unfortunately so this could be way off the mark but it's just trying to define the problem down completely if possible i'll also message the moderator sony for you.

Try pressing power + vol up or vol down while booting from an off state. That could put the device into recovery mode. If you turn the unit on and plug it into USB, does it mount anything on the computer? Is it recognized by the computer as anything?

thanks for the quick replies guys.
i thought it could be something like that too and have left it running for a bit , a few times now, and still nothing happens. other than it finally putting itself in standby mode. i can go in and out of standby mode. but it's always the white screen when it's on.
i haven't tried the recovery mode stuff yet, because this is my first android and i really don't know what i'm doing yet haha.. but i'll try that out and also try to see if it mounts via usb and let you know.
bummerrr.

ok so upon plugging it in via usb it is recognized as a "USB Mass Storage Device" and an "AML MID USB Device". hopefully this is somewhat of a good thing? lol
edit: however, it doesn't show up in "my computer" as anything.. also, in "device manager" it shows up as two "AML MID USB Device"s.. don't know what that means.

unfortunately yes. i've been talking to a few of the guys over at dingoonity who suggested the same thing. thread: boards.dingoonity.org/android-devices/jxds7300-gamepad/150/i followed Vektor's tut video, and using the USB burner i'm able to get a success msg but it's still the same white screen when i try turning it on.. but yea without having yours yet i know you can't do a whole lot. you probably won't have the issue at all though. at least i hope you don't. i appreciate the help and suggestions a lot though. not sure what to do.. this really sucks.. i was super excited when i saw that it was arriving today, unboxed it, and then-- nothing haha

I am not sure what the fix is for this unfortunate occurrence. My advice now is to talk to Willgoo or whoever you purchased it from to see whether you can get a replacement.

Well sorry not to be any help at all with this as you appear to be the only person so far to have been unfortunate to have experienced this so far, as Sony said i would definitely contact whom ever you purchased it from. The only other thing i could suggest is do you own a miniHDMI cable? if so it could be worth while connecting it up to see what is displayed on your tv. If you still get the white screen then you know there is something seriously wrong on the technical side of it. However you might get a display which would suggest there is a loose connection from the screen to the board. This obviously still doesn’t help you out in any way shape or form but at least you might get a better idea where the fault lies. And might aid you in getting a replacement unit quicker. I really hope you are able to get this sorted out with your supplier sooner rather than later. Just out of a matter of interest who did you purchase off?

i've always been such a lucky kid haha. no worries though. i've already been in contact with someone over at foxoffer.com (<-- where i ordered from), and i believe i'm going to just send it back for a replacement. i must say though, foxoffer, even though i got the golden ticket from them, has been fantastic with trying to suggest solutions and over all customer support. i receive responses to all my emails with in 24 hours and they have even offered to pay the new shipping fees (which they should anyway, but it is clearly stated in their return/replacement policy that the customer is responsible for those charges). so, even though it's a not so fun situation, they get an A in my book for customer service.
honestly, i'm pretty happy no one else has experienced the white screen of lameness. at least that means it was just a fluke. also, good thought on the hdmi.. i'll probably try it out just to see what happens. i'll let you know.

Have you tried to do the update through the sdcard instead of through the computer? You'll have to download the update from the jxd website... Unzip the file and put the 4 files inside to the root of your sdcard... Turn on the device while holding volume up button.. It may help as long as it's not a hardware issue. Mine came with the volume down button not working. :/ hope this may help

I did try this method but even if it actually did do anything internally, I wouldn't know because nothing shows up on screen :/ I really appreciate the suggestion though. it's kind of like showing up to a party you weren't invited to and they closed the drapes so you can't even watch from outside. that would be creepy though so I don't blame them but still, I have no idea what's going on inside of my 7300 because the screen just doesn't get signal.
I was talking with ratbuddy over on the dingoonity boards and almost got up the courage to try to open it up and see if I could spot a loose connection somewhere. but I think I'd rather just get a replacement.
also, I just realized I don't have a minihdmi to hdmi so I can't really test that afterall. oh well. back to the HK this one goes.

Hopefully they express delivery a new unit back to you so your not with out it for to long, definitely the right shout in sending it back. Not worth opening it up and voiding the warranty unless your 100% sure what the problem is.
