Hello and welcome to the boards Alan/Josh. I must say Alan your Arcade Machine and list of emulators is rather impressive, nice work i bet that was a fun project to build. Nice tips in the apps section too bud. Hey Josh, am absolutely gutted i missed the uno exploit before it was removed, glad to heae someone on here is putting it to good use. I love the optimism but ps2 and gamecube emulations a long way off as far as handhelds are concerned. Handhelds are getting more and more powerful, but its going to have to be a beast of a machine to be able to handle them emus, and even then there would need to be lots of work put into optimising the emus in question. There are some threads on this here specific to the pandora but there is some good technical information in there on the difficulties of emulating systems: boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/11612-why-exactly-is-ps2-emulation-so-unachievable/boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/11141-why-exactly-is-gamecube-emulation-so-unachievable/

There was an exploit exposed in the uno game which allowed a half byte loader to run homebrew content. The same way GTA and what not origionally allowed the PSP to run homebrew in the early days. This has now been removed from the market by Sony and the firmware has been updated as well. So if u missed it your going to have to wait a little longer am afraid. There is another game rumoured to allow this exploit to run but it has not been announced yet but the guy claiming to have found it. Your best chance of being able to run homebrew in the future is to never update the firmware and play the waiting game for an exploit to be found. The vita would make an awesome homebrew console,

Yes I used the UNO exploit. I have tried Zelda 64 emulator and like most it works with no sound. Thing to remember the psvita hack is the psp side of it. They have not actually hacked the full power of the vita. When they do all the emulators should work 100%

Hello dear sirs, My name is Erki and I come from a small country called Estonia(It's f... freezing in here atm). I just sold my x360 phat flashed LT1.0(today) and bought this thing(today). I think the main reason I sold my xbox and bought this chinese handheld is that this little chinese console is practically opensource compared to x360. Currently I'm studying to be a "internet specialist"(frontend, backend) so I enjoy having a gadget that I can basically mod as much as i want. Im thinking trying out different ARM linux soft on this thing to see if I can get anything to work. Would love to try out some things with this device and my linuxbox. My hobbies are music, skateboarding and messing with electronic devices. Mainly I listen to 80-90s house n disko music, thats why the name( I love it when the song has groove) Thats about it! I hope we will have fun with this device in this community

Hello and welcome Erki, Sounds like your planning to have some fun tinkering with the s7300, some nice linux software would be awsome. Thank you for the sugestions for the site you obviously know a hell of alot more on this department than i do, please continue to send me suggestions as this is the best way i will learn how to set everything up correctly. i am going to give everything you suggested out soon. This was the first time i had set anything like this up so i was just fiddling and changing things as i went along until it looked correct on my computer without considering how it would turn out on other machines, the site has always looked the same whether i was on my pc,pandora, tablet and phone so assumed it worked ok on different resolutions. Also the banner was my first proper play around with gimp and i went abit all over the place playing about with different settings and effects, again in a trial and error fashion. Would you have any objections in me PMing you abit further doen the line for assistance if i/when i need some help?

Hi guys, my name is Brandon and I am from Canada. I love all the android shoot-em-ups and retro gaming emulators, but I really need buttons. I will be getting mine in the mail monday(feb11th) and the main types of games i would like to play on here would me Zelda(64), Silent Hill, Dead trigger. I am a pretty active forum user so i will be giving a lot of feedback. Thanks for having me and enjoy your jxd s7300's!!

Hello and welcome Brandon thank you for joining, well you're in luck both the zeldas run near flawless on n64oid, not tried out the ps1 as it is one of emulators i am unlikely to use, unfortunately dead trigger requires a external controller at the moment however fingers crossed with a few custom roms and updates who knows a little further down the line i should be a go. Look forwards to hearing what you have running on your unit.

Hello folks!
I found my way to this site when I decided to order a JXD S7300 from Willgoo. I'm a gadget fan and was very active in the Dingoo A320 scene back when it first hit.
I figured I'd try to find out everything I can about this cool handheld and one of those ways is to find the active forums, so here I am!
I hope I can learn some stuff and maybe help out here and there too if I can.

Greetings
I followed Phelsumania here from the OpenPandora boards, where some of you may know me under the same handle. [Hello Sony!]
I'm looking to get my S7300 very soon so thought it was time to register here now.
My interest in gaming is like many of you, with roots in the retro consoles of yesteryear. I do play some newer Android games too, though always find myself loading up the old favs on the emus.
My history of gaming is along the path of; 2600, ZX48k, ZX128k, NES, SMS, MD, SNES, GC, DC, PS1, XBOX, PS2, 360, PS3. I still have some of my old handheld consoles too; GB, GBC, GBM, GG, NGPC.
I like these newer consoles, have tried the GameGadget, Archos GamePad. Have pre-orders on the Pandora and the GCW Zero which I am keen to play on one day.
Looking forward to getting my mitts on the S7300.

Hey zero, was hoping it was you when I saw the user name, glad to see your joining in the fun. We've got the exact same gaming history - the 2 zx consoles. I think u will be impressed by the s7300 so far it exceed my expectations, obviously it still needs polishing but its still early days. I've got a few days off coming up starting tomorrow ( not been to sleep for over 48 hours now, i hate my work hours) am going to upload the set up procedure I use when installing everything because a lot seems to work fine for me that isn't for others and are having issues with, so thought it could be use full to get a full set up vid uploaded for new users so they don't have to trial and error everything. ( sods law as with all my tutorials so far I will create the vid then a day later a new ROM will be released)
